Ubisoft has once again refreshed the Animus Hub in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, bringing new weekly Anomalies and Exchange Store items to keep your blade sharp and your gear even sharper.
Whether you're grinding for Exchange Keys or just curious about this week’s exclusive loot, here’s your go-to guide.
What Are Weekly Anomalies?
Weekly Anomalies are time-limited side missions scattered across the map, offering challenges like:
Eliminate high-value targets
Collect hidden artifacts
Tournament
Rewards: Completing these missions grants Data Fragments, XP, and sometimes Exchange Keys, which you’ll need for the Exchange Store.
What Are Shadow Projects ? Why They Matter?
Completing Anomalies helps you level up your current Shadow Project — think of it like a seasonal battle pass. As you level up, you earn:
Exchange Keys
Legendary Gear
Gold
Codex Entry
Tip: You can pause and switch between Projects, and your progress is saved!
What Are Weekly Exchange Store Items This Week?
This week’s Exchange Store brings four rotating premium items you can grab using Exchange Keys:
Ornate Bone Naginata (Yasuke Gear)
- Restore 8% health on hitting poisoned enemies (Average)

Golden Horn Helmet (Yasuke Gear)
- Stagger all nearby enemies on weakpoint attacks (Average)

Hood of the Dragon (Naoe Gear)
- Restore 33% health on weakpoint attack (Best)

Crimson Scales Armor (Yasuke Gear)
- 3% chance to instantly kill with posture attacks (Not recommended)

Which Item Offers the Best Value?
Here’s my honest take:
Best Pick: Hood of the Dragon (Naoe Gear)
Among this week’s offerings, Hood of the Dragon easily stands out as the top-value item. Not only is it part of the Naoe Gear set, but it also comes with a health regeneration perk, which gives it a real edge during stealth-heavy or prolonged combat encounters.
While the other items are solid, they’ve appeared in previous rotations and don’t offer the same practical advantage. If you're short on Exchange Keys, it might be wise to save them for more unique or game-enhancing gear.
That said, value is subjective — if a particular cosmetic or weapon excites you or fits your build, go for it! After all, what you enjoy most in-game is what truly matters.
Our Final Thoughts
While Ubisoft has done a good job keeping Assassin’s Creed Shadows active with weekly content, the Exchange Store is starting to feel repetitive. Many items have been rotated back multiple times, and we're seeing fewer truly new additions to keep things exciting.
Players have been waiting for fresh content like the Sakura Pack, which still hasn’t made an appearance. At this point, it would be great to see new gear sets, exclusive cosmetics, and additional Shadow Projects added to shake up the rotation and reward long-time players.
Let’s hope Ubisoft expands the selection soon — because while grinding weekly Anomalies remains engaging, the rewards need to evolve to keep up with player interest.
